The Mill Valley board hosted their last meeting at Hickory Grove Recreation Center. 

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Officer gave updates about our community as follows: 

  • Stats of 911 calls for Service in our neighborhood, Hampton Park 

  • Police Activities League (PAL)  - Program to help foster positive mentoring for youth.

  • High School and College Internships offered by the Police Academy 

Committee Updates: 

  • After 5 years, Speed Bumps have been approved by the Department of Transportation for Gera Emma Drive. Deadline to express opposition is April 23, 2024. 

  • Neighbors should watch for upcoming masonry repairs for the brick walls at the entrance.

  • Residents should call*311 to report downed trees, street lights that are not functioning, pot holes, or other street repairs. 

  • Tree Trimming: Since January 2024, your board has workee with Charlotte Landscape management to trim trees. There are a few more trees to be removed and stumps to be grinded, which are marked with an orange dot. 

  • Park improvements are ongoing. Gates will be installed at the Park entrances at Strawberry Point and Saucalito Court. 

  • Neighborhood Spring Clean Up Day was May 18, 2024. 

  • The board will be building a community website for our HOA updates and news! Look out for more information on where to find the new website!!
